Clients who already have a reservation, it is obligatory to call Cristina +34 608237898 our housekeeper when you know approximately your arrival time (call, do not send whatsapps) and thus attend you without delay. Keep in mind that they (Cristina and Batista) do not live in Mas de la Font and if they know your arrival time at least one hour before, it helps them a lot because it takes them about 15 minutes to arrive at the house and they have to prepare your entrance. Our check-in timetable is from 15-20h and check-out from 08-11h. At check-in you must give a deposit of 300€ payable by credit card or by bizum which will be returned, if everything is correct, within 7 days of check-out. If you pay by bizum you will have to give the phone number to return the amount to the same. Pets are allowed but we charge €100 for the whole stay for extra cleaning. We will also take a photo of the ID card or passport of each guest over 14 years old for police control.
The easiest way to get to the house if you come from the AP7 from Tarragona or Castellón is to exit Tortosa and go towards (C-12) Xerta and past the town of Xerta you will find a junction to Prat de Comte, Horta de Sant Joan (N-230b and T-333). Once in Horta follow the road (T-333) towards Arnes and you will find the crossroads to the village of Lledó. If you are coming from Tarragona, you can also exit at Hospitalet de l'Infant towards Mora de L'Ebre (C-44) and before reaching Mora there is a roundabout towards Xerta and Tortosa (C-12), follow the road along the Ebro river until before reaching Xerta where you will find the crossroads (N-230b and T-333) to Horta de Sant Joan, Arnes and Valderrobres. Some navigators advise you to leave via Reus, Falset, Gandesa, Bot and Horta de Sant Joan. Do not do this as the road is quite winding at the end. If you come from Zaragoza the best way is to go to Alcañiz on the N-232, in Alcañiz take the N-420 to Calaceite, in Calaceite you will find the junction to Cretas A-1413 and in Cretas you will find the junction to Lledó TE-V-3303.
The house has two coffee machines, one Nespresso and the other Oro-ley type for ten cups. The barbecue by the swimming pool is wood or charcoal fired. At the petrol station in Horta on the road to Arnes you can find firewood or charcoal as well as ice, local products such as oil, wine, honey, olives, etc. The grill and all barbecue utensils are in the house, please do not use the barbecue which is outside next to the wood logs for winter and due to the drought we are suffering from, do not use it. There is a very popular bakery in the Matarraña (Can Llerda http://www.hornollerda.com/) in the neighbouring village of Cretas, 7 km away. It is open every day, even on Sunday mornings, where you can buy all kinds of products and pastries apart from bread. Next to the bakery there is a small grocer's shop (Eva) with the same opening hours as the bakery. In the pretty village of Valderrobres (17 km.) as well as in Horta de Sant Joan (10 km.) there are several supermarkets where you can buy everything and which are open even on Sunday mornings. If you want to go to a cheap restaurant, I recommend Hotel Restaurante Miralles (https://www.hotelmiralles.com/restaurant/) in Horta and Fonda La Plaza (https://www.fondalaplaza.es/) in Valderrobres. There are two pizzerias in Valderrobres (La Terrazeta, Esencia). If you want to go to a good restaurant in the village of Calaceite there is the Fonda Alcalá (https://fondaalcala.com) in La Fresneda there are 2, Restaurante Matarraña (https://www.restaurantematarranya.com) and Restaurante del Convent (https://hotelelconvent.com). You can also go to the beautiful and touristic village of Beceite where you will also find good and varied restaurants such as El Restaurante - La Fábrica de Solfa (fabricadesolfa.com) . Interesting websites for sightseeing in the area: https://matarranyaturismo.es http://turismomatarraña.es https://terra-alta.org .
In the house you will find a book with more information. I hope my advice has been useful and do not hesitate to ask me anything you want, although Cristina will also inform you about everything.
